elie saab couture spring summer ’12

elie saab’s haute couture collection for spring, summer 2012 is completely drool worthy! well, every one of his collections are pretty much drool worthy, i can only dream of wearing one of his dresses one day.

i find myself watching his online shows over and over again. it’s quite magical to observe how the lighting reflects off the dresses, highlighting the incredible detail as they gracefully float down the runway.

this line oozes elegance and sensuality in a way other designers find hard to capture, elie’s dresses take my breath away, he is most definitely a true artist! source

voyager

yesterday i popped by voyager to pick up my first copy of kinfolk magazine, which i am very excited to flip through. having not been to voyager i was pleasantly surprised when i walked in the door.

honestly, it was one of the greatest stores i’ve stepped foot in, i had to take a few quick few snaps. i was overwhelmed by the decor as well as the product, the wooden features/ tropical plants, patterns/textures and hanging lights made this store ultimately appealing straight away.

voyager is a collaboration of san francisco based revolver, spartan, needles/pens and michael rosenthal art gallery. this place is filled with awesome goodies, ranging from clothes, books, art, jewelry, plants and homewares. the store is located on valencia in the mission, if you are ever in the area do yourselves a favor and go take a peek!

this morning while i was flipping through my frankie pages, i came across the charming work of melbourne artist/designer, amy borrell. her child like images are quite adorable, the sweet herb series featured in frankie is my favorite, i think i’ll have to frame my page!

diggin’ these dreamy vintage polaroids by chloe aftel for geronimo spring 2012 lookbook. they also have a digital lookbook too, but these were my favorite, you can’t go wrong with a good ol’ polly!

melanie rodriguez for papier mache

last night i popped over to melanie rodriguez’s portfolio, and i was delighted to find these sweet pictures featured in papier mache, issue #10. it’s always a beautiful thing when you come across a mother daughter feature that’s photographed in such a special and unique way. melanie’s images appear quiet and content, but say so much without trying. and what about this beautiful wardrobe!? the soft muted shades with pops of color is quite lovely! i love the bohemian style of the woman model and this tartan jacket on the little girl is just precious!
